Situated at the very top of a high hill, the views are almost as good from the front porch as they are from the back deck. Such an inspiring place to be--and my father-in-law couldn't stop saying how much he loved it. Will definitely return!

The views in all directions are amazing the cabin is a wide open floor design where everybodies included on the main floors regardless of where you are sitting or standing and the kitchen is amazing no problems feeding our party of 7 and the place was more than amply stocked with nearly anything you could think of. I really enjoyed our stay family memories to last a lifetime.

Our group stayed until his property as a home base to run the New River Marathon. The location was close to the race start and also an easy drive to Boone (<30 minutes) for a post race lunch. The views from this home are spectacular.

Our stay at Buena Vista was great the views were absolutely beautiful. We had two days of snow and still able to enjoy the hot tub in the snow. The cabin was well equipped. Boone is just a few miles down the road and was filled with plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions. We will have great memories for this reunion of our senior brother and sisters. I would definitely recommend.

The home was wonderful! The stairs were a challenge at times with a 3 year old. We would definitely stay again. We were hoping for snow but Mother Nature had other plans. The winds were high and very cold at times but we ALL enjoyed our stay!

The view of the mountains is picturesque. Supermarket is just 10-15 minutes away from location. If you go in the winter season they had a beautiful Christmas tree set up when we arrived. This place is beautiful and spacious for a family of 7.

I suggest a floor mat in front of the master shower. The recycle bin had not been emptied, so we had no place to throw our recyclables. But these are minor compared to the overall experience.

We truly enjoyed this rental. The Location is perfect for seeing the Fall leaves and colors, and it was mostly quiet.
We went with our 72 year old mother and 3 year old son. We were a tad concerned about the stairs, but they both did very well!
Our son loved the basement game room. We all did! None of us stayed in the basement bedroom but it looked cozy and it along with the downstairs bathroom had heated floors.
The view from the balcony was Spectacular! The rental isn't far from many of the great attractions either. The only suggestion I'd make it to bring your own pillows, theirs were a little thin for me but may work for others.
We are considering making this an annual trip.

The cabin is a great space for a group and has many things to keep guest entertained (hot tub, pool table, ping pong, foosball) and a large TV in the living room. While we were out an about a lot, we wish we would have planned just a day to hang out at the cabin. The cabin was perfect for grandparents, two grown children and spouses, and grandkids. Grab and bring groceries and coffee grounds with you as it is a bit out of town.

Buena Vista was beautiful inside and out! We very much enjoyed our reunion with friends from out of state. Only a couple of minor suggestions:
1. No outdoor fire pit. This would be very easy to add and would have been just perfect for the crisp November nights we visited.
2. The temperature of the hot tub was too high for us. But the outdoor night temps were too cold to get out of the tub and cool off, so whether in or out it was uncomfortable. We were unable to lower it because it showed “locked.” We did call to inquire about this and they told us to YouTube instructions for the brand of hot tub there. This did solve the problem after a little frustration.
3. It rained heavily before we made it up there. The bridge leading up to the property was completely flooded and our check-in had to be pushed back 2 hours. I understand this would be a huge expense to elevate the bridge, but I would be concerned about getting stuck in or out depending on the weather. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was very accommodating and allowed us a late check out on our day of departure because of this.
4. The pool table was stacked on several tiles in an attempt to make it not level, but it was not. We were not able to play because all the balls rolled to one end. Additionally the foosball table was the mini version and is actually quite back-breaking to hunch over. Just not worth playing. But we got great use out of the ping pong table!
Overall a beautiful place with lots to offer. Great views and timeless decor. We loved it and would 100% stay again!

This was a great rental! Conveniently located close to Boone and West Jefferson. The house was cozy and had great amenities. We appreciated the extra soaps, etc. stocked. The views were amazing. It was so peaceful sitting on the rocking chairs in the afternoon. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Communication was also super easy. I would definitely stay here again! Only thing I'd note is that the neighborhood roads are narrow (normal for mountain area) but I would try to avoid arriving in the dark.

The pictures and description for this cabin represented the facts very well. It was very clean and is in brand new condition. It's very convenient to both Boone and New River water sports. I would definitely rent this cabin again!

It was a perfect Memorial Day weekend! We loved it! We would recommend staying here. It was great for our weekend getaway. We were able to visit family and had a nice place to come home to. We already want to go back!

This is a beautiful rental! The views are impressive, hot tub was great, place was clean and had everything we needed! We enjoyed our stay so much! Would love to come back to make a longer visit next time.. thank you so much!!
