Boulder Sky was absolutely great! The view from sunrise to sunset on the mountains were outstanding. House was very clean and spacious, especially the kitchen.
One maintenance item needs attention, the jack and jill bathroom toliet constantly and slightly ran water. We called maintenance to report it. Also, there needs to have a large mixing bowl for mixing cake,cookies,mash potatoes etc.
Boulder Sky gets 5 stars for us. Thanks!

We had a glorious time on our July 4 trip to Banner Elk. The Boulder Sky home was by far the nicest and best equipped we have enjoyed for our family trip. We enjoyed our time on the property - the fire pit, the beautiful scenic views from the rear desk, the hot tub, and the surrounding area restaurants. One of the highlights was enjoying the Banner Elk July 4 parade, and the continued celebrations during the day. It was a very fun adventure! The cabin is nice clean adventurous, fun rooms, movie theater, outside is breathtaking. This was a very nice designed house. Also the fireplace is very fun to tell stories and eat smores, making fires for families. The master is very nice and fancy plus the rooms and bunk beds. Great Christmas Vacation for our two-family party of 8! It snowed the night we checked in and it was beautiful. We were able to take easy trips to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Sledding Hill at Beech Mountain (FREE) throughout our stay and it's close enough to everything including grocery stores to stock up for your stay. We had an amazing, memorable time and can't wait to come back!

The house had a ton of space! The kitchen was supplied with everything from little kids utensils to a waffle iron and crockpot! The fire pit across the way is perfect. The downstairs pool table was a ton of fun. While some of us played pool, everyone else could watch them or the huge tv…plenty of room for our family of 8 to sit!! Loved every minute of our stay!!

Our mountain home was simply perfect. We have stayed at many homes but this was by far the most organized and well thought out home we've been to. The kitchen was amazing! The homeowners have literally thought of everything. The only complaints I heard was that we had to leave. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and your beautiful view. Night time on the deck and around the fire pit was one of our favorite spots. Thanks again for an amazing family vacation.

Stayed at Boulder Sky property, it’s a clean beautiful property. The views are amazing, our kids love the den and fire place on property. Felt like we’re in our home away from home. The grill was out of gas on a Sunday, called Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and their housekeeping brought it less than an hr later. My husband was impressed by the fast service given it’s a weekend, a holiday weekend at that and on a mountain top! We’ll definitely be staying at this property again whenever we’re back to NC.

We loved this place! Had 3 families all with elementary school age and under kids. Plenty of room for all of us! We felt close enough to kids to keep an eye on them but still enough room to have adult time. Was about 20 min to Beech ski. Glad we had 4wd with the snow and steep road to enter. Blue ridge rentals was great with a few housekeeping things we had to contact them about. Very responsive. I would say the master suite bed seemed very hard but everyone else thought beds were very comfy, including the 2 parents who slept in bunk bed room with kiddos ;) recommend adding pics of the downstairs bathroom to the listing. Highly recommend!

Boulder Sky is everything it claims to be, AND SO MUCH MORE!! There were 9 of us all together, 4 adults and 5 kids (2 families) ranging in age from 6-14, and to put it mildly, we had the time of our lives. The home/cabin itself is absolutely BREATHTAKING, not to mention beautifully decorated, and the hosts truly made sure we had every utensil/appliance we could have needed. They also made sure we had all the tools we needed to have fun, from the pool table and darts, to the collections of board games (even a good ole fashion deck of cards), to the hot tub! We were blessed to have had ample snowfall during our visit, and the property is so beautiful, I honestly don't know how to put it into words. We spent hours just watching the deer graze just beyond the back fence, looking for animal prints and deciphering their origin, building snowmen and making snow angels, making s'mores by the fire pit outside, and honestly having the time of our lives. The most amazing part? There are decks on all levels, and there simply aren't words to describe how beautiful the view of the mountains is. Which you can see from all decks, and almost every window in the home! The Cabin was immaculately clean, stocked with any and every kitchen utensil/appliance you could think of, a gas AND charcoal grill for cooking, and the beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept on while traveling. I can tell that the Hosts pulled out all the stops to ensure that their guests would feel right at home during their stay, and they hit the ball out of the park. I could feel the love in this home, from the décor, to the comfortable furniture and fuzzy blankets provided, and their beautiful family photos, and I absolutely recommend it to EVERYONE planning to stay in/near Banner Elk! We didn't go anywhere during our stay, but to get groceries. The home was just what we needed, and we made the most amazing forever memories. We will be back!

I have rented many places.. at the coast, out west, beach and mountains. Wanted you to know that Boulder Sky at River Run was the nicest and best equipped house / rental I/we have rented. Beautiful house that fit our needs exactly -
The kitchen had anything anyone could need - the house was spotless, instructions were clear. Loved the fire pit up on the hill, lights are a great touch!
