It was a really cool location. 15 mins to west Jefferson and 20 mins to Boone. The hot tub overlooked some cool Mountain Views! I would go back for sure!

Thank you for the chance to spend the weekend at your beautiful property. The place is cozy and clean. Perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. The first 2 days we were there were extremely cloudy. On day three the sun came out and we got to experience the sunset. OMG!

This stay was amazing. I was tempted to write a bad review if only to keep it more available for us to book in the future. The views are awesome the seclusion is just right not too far out and not too crowded, right in the middle of everything we wanted. We are already planning our next trip so if you want it you better jump on it.

We stayed at Blessed Sunset Getaway this past weekend and it was absolutely wonderful! The views were amazing, especially for the sunset. The house was well-stocked, which was very helpful. The hot tub on the porch was so relaxing after a day of hiking. The house was easily accessible and close to West Jefferson, along with other towns that we didn't have time to visit. I will say there is a house right next door that is not portrayed well in the pictures so it isn't quite as private as it seemed from the listing, but it was still a great stay and I would absolutely stay here again.

The place was very nice. I wish the hot tub could have kept up with the weather but it struggled greatly. very beautiful scenes with mountains around you. 15 minutes from West Jefferson. also very close to Blue ridge parkway. fun decorations as long as you don't mind animal skins. fun place.

Everything was perfect. Sweet cabin on top of the mountains, with a beautiful view, it was clean we had everything we needed. The hot tub was such a blessing to sit and watch the mountains in the sunrise and the sunset.

We had the best mountain views at Blessed Sunset in Fleetwood NC. We could see all perimeters surrounding our cabin. Absolutely breathtaking! Clean cabin with all the amenities, including hottub.

The place was beautiful! 360 views, the hot tub at sunset, everything was perfect. The only complaint I could have is we wanted to use the grill but it was basically out of propane:/ only a small issue as we just used the stove instead. Overall I’d highly recommend this place to anyone especially if you want a romantic secluded getaway!

Very cute place! GPS won’t take you to the house so you have to use the written instructions which can be tricky depending on which way you’re coming from. Bit of an odd smell at first but not terrible. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, would definitely recommend!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days to unplug and had planned on camping in the Fleetwood area. This particular week there was a lot of rain so camping wasn't really an option once we got there. We reached out to Blue Ridge to see if we could stay here instead. The house was beautiful, and on top of a mountain with 360 views of the surrounding mountains. Inside was very clean and homey, and outside was just gorgeous with big fields to walk around. We had our dog with us so he had plenty of area to run and play. There were also some trails through the woods that we walked and saw local foliage and a variety of wildlife during our stay (deer, Turkey, birds, and more). It was such a peaceful and private property! We very much enjoyed our time here and plan to come back very soon!

The space was a perfect space for 2 adults a and a young child. The views and seclusion were phenomenal! I did miss not having a dishwasher. Bring paper plates and plastic cups if you don’t like washing dishes and plan on cooking! The beds were comfy! I was happily surprised as most air bnbs are not. We all slept great

I felt that the place was a perfect landing spot between the hikes. I was a little concerned with it being pet friendly and as a result having lots of dog hair, etc but it was extremely clean. Being private/secluded was perfect for us as we like to have privacy and there was plenty of space for our dog to run.

We truly loved our stay here, it was definitely peaceful and private. Great views and really felt right at home. One thing we had an issue with was the internet, but the owner had tried their best to be resolve our issue during our stay. The beds were really comfortable, we all slept very well. I cannot say enough about the serenity of the property, it was our first time using a service like VRBO and we were extremely happy with the accommodations and the entire stay. The mountain views were amazing and the fact that we were able to bring our 2 little dogs was even better, it made for a great family vacation. Unfortunately we never got to use the hot tub, it was too windy and cold, but im sure it would have been amazing had the weather cooperated

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We got in the hot tub twice a day - what a view from the hot tub! We even saw shooting stars one night. The location was perfect as it was equal distance between West Jefferson and Boone. We will stay here again if available.

Great stay in a beautiful location! Easy to get to, about 20 minutes to the nearest grocery and food hub, perfect for those who want some seclusion while still being near things to do. Good for a couple or family with slightly older kids (one loft has spiral staircase and the other has a ladder). Enjoy the views!

We really enjoyed our stay… everything was nice and clean.. the ONLY is we did have was finding the place GPS had us all in someone else’s property but they was really nice and they helped us… I would suggest some signs leading to the property when u have guest coming to stay… The hot tub was great if we could’ve stay in it all day we would’ve lol… not a lot of privacy… we also suggest some windows tint so that the neighbors could see inside of the cabin… we will come back to this property again

Great Place for a winter Vacation. Would definitely recommend 4x4 or AWD as the cabin is pretty isolated.

My husband and I chose to go to the mountains to spend some time together with our dogs. We loved the location of the cabin. Even with Covid happening, our stay was never interrupted. All the information was always given a good amount of time ahead of time. I would recommend this over and over again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Blessed Sunset Getaway! Beautiful views from inside the living area as well as the porch. Comfortable accommodations and only one visible neighbor (who was only around one night while we were there). Easy access to Boone, Todd, and West Jefferson, with activities like kayaking, tubing, biking, hiking and shopping available. We had to contact Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals about an issue with a circuit breaker and a missed trash pickup, and both were promptly resolved. Enjoyed ourselves so much we extended our visit by one day. Great place and agency!

You couldn't ask for better views. We enjoyed watching the stars at night. The home was clean and comfortable. The directions were excellent, especially considering there is a road that is closed. It was a perfect mini vacation from the world before school starts back. We hope to stay here again soon!

The views here are gorgeous. Perfect spot for family of 4. The cabin is secluded, cozy and equipped with what you need. The hot tub/porch view is amazing. The sunset is absolutely unreal. We cooked over the fire pit and the grill. Everything feels updated/newer and is in perfect working order, the kids were happy with high speed internet so they could relax after vigorous days of kayaking and site seeing. They loved their loft bedroom. The living area cozy for TV/family time. Highly recommend to anyone!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

My wife and I were very surprised at how nice the home was in comparison to the available photos; this property is a very high end mountain cabin which is not reflected in the outdated listing photos The pictures don't do this property justice; not even close. We booked this home last minute and felt as if we took a gamble based on the photos but were pleasantly surprised. Not pictured - hot tub, master bedroom, property seclusion, etc. This property is extremely private, we recommend getting there before it's dark. We would definitely book again and hope to return soon.

This was a beautiful place and the view was amazing, everything looked exactly as pictured and I would definitely recommend staying here. The people were awesome and any questions I had they contacted me back right away.

We loved our stay at Idlewild Ridge! We were glad to be arriving in daylight as the last 5 minutes of the drive are gravel, mountain, windy roads. The instructions given from the company were accurate, but I would definitely recommend getting in to town before dark! The cabin is very secluded with only 1 immediate neighbor--we could only see lights from 3 other houses in the distance at night. It was perfect size for my husband and myself, and the loft upstairs had 2 additional twin beds if you had kids with you. We were worried about being cold at night but the insulation there was incredible. The hot tub was great after a long hike. The sunset views were amazing every night and we even got up for sunrise once and had a perfect view. It took us about a half hour to get to Blowing Rock or Boone taking back roads, a little less on main roads. The closest grocery was less than 20 minutes away if I remember right. There is a Blue Ridge Parkway entranced within 10 minutes. The kitchen was well equipped-we were able to make what we wanted for dinner and breakfasts without worrying about having enough dishes. Overall, we loved our stay! Would 100% go back.

We loved this property and we want to come again!!!! The hot tub was a nice surprise as it was not listed on the website. Our daughter attends App State so this gives us a out of town but near enough retreat!

Cozy cabin on top of a hill. Suggest using 4 wheel drive or AWD for access. Kitchen has most items for cooking. Only 2 rockers on porch, so bring a few camp chairs if more then 2 guests. Would definitely request this one to book again as it was close to Boone and West Jefferson fun.

We really enjoyed our anniversary weekend at this cabin. Very quiet, private and had great views. Would love to come back in leaf season or get snowed in for a few days!! Comfortable furnishings and clean. Perfect for a couple or a family with kids. Besides the master bedroom there's 2 lofts that could sleep 3 people. There's a big open meadow perfect for playing (the dogs loved it)! Good location between Boone and West Jefferson. My only suggestion is a sign by the driveway with '527' and an arrow pointing up the hill.
