Blackberry Hill

We had the most relaxing couples weekend away at Blackberry Hill! The property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful — the perfect place to disconnect and recharge. The hot tub was ready for us when we arrived, which made the first evening extra special, especially with the mountain air and quiet surroundings.
One of the best parts of our stay was the in-house massages waiting for us after check-in. It was something I wanted my husband to experience and made the whole trip feel like a luxury retreat. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, if not better.
If you’re looking for a romantic, quiet getaway with a little extra pampering, this is the place. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for a couples weekend!

This place was an awesome stay for a group of 6 friends to get together to celebrate a birthday weekend. Very spacious house and rooms are separated for some privacy. The deck is very nice and a great spot to hangout, along with the hot tub. It is only a 5-6 minute drive away from downtown Blowing Rock also. Perfect getaway place!

Overall, we were very happy with our stay! The home was pristine and in a wonderful location close to Blowing Rock and other local attractions. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and the description prepared us to come with extra paper products and cleaning supplies. They also left cute welcome gifts! Some things I would want to know more clearly before renting the house would be: The common room furnishings could be better, but the beds are very comfortable! The downstairs area is smaller than the photos represent but still a nice space. This home is dog friendly, but there is no green space and it's on a mountain road that isn't friendly for pedestrians. So, taking the dog out may be a challenge for pickier pets. Finally, the host is a large rental company. They are helpful and responsive but didn't offer any flexibility when requested. We also went during peak season. So, it's understandable and generally well communicated.

What a beautiful place for a weekend retreat! We traveled with a family of 5 adults, 2 young children, and 2 dogs. Absolutely loved how cozy and clean the home was; beautiful, still smells brand new, thoughtful decor, and a super peaceful place that is conveniently located very close to town! We cooked all our meals and the kitchen was well-appointed. The fireplace heats the whole house and creates an inviting space for special memories - it was snowy and chilly during our visit so we appreciated this coziness so much! The bathrooms and showers are pristine, the rec room downstairs is a fun extra space, and the views from the deck and through the windows made us feel so tucked away. Very short drive to downtown Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, several hikes and lakes, and easy access to Boone! Would stay here again without hesitation!

The house looked great and was in great shape. The decor in each bedroom is very nice. The beds are comfortable, the house is very clean, and they had plenty of things to use like kitchen goods/games/books, etc. The hot tub was hot and ready for us. Those were the good parts. For the bad parts and why we would not rent again: 1. The furniture was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The sofa in the upper room is like sitting on a picnic table. The bean bags downstairs are even worse. The dining table/chairs are also uncomfortable. They are wood/metal. There is nowhere comfortable to hang out as a group except one sofa downstairs that seats 3. 2. Lack of seating. There is ample room for 6 people to sleep, but there are not enough seats for 6 people in any of the living rooms. 3. Strange Layout: You can only get to the tv/game room by going outside. The hot tub cover only opens one way, and when it's open, it completely blocks the view of the mountains. good idea. bad execution.
