Stay was great beautiful cabin with awesome views. Plenty of room for the whole family plus some .Definitely will stay again. Quick drive to either slopes or to grab some food. Perfect that it’s right off the park way so you don’t have to worry bout long side roads not getting plowed during snow storms wich we had while there. 4wd is a definite if snow or ice on drive way but that’s everywhere. I will say this is first one we stayed at that they kept up on the plowing of the driveway. All around great stay no complaints.

We had a very good family stay and made lifelong memories! The cabin is beautiful with a spectacular view. The cabin is very close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort which makes it convenient for skiing. The property description was accurate and the cabin was clean. The communication was good with no surprises. The branded essentials had a nice touch. Great Stay! Cute and cozy rustic cabin and plenty of room for guests with 3 of the 4 rooms having comfortable King size beds. Close to Boone, Beech and Sugar Mountain, and very close to downtown Banner Elk. One downside to note was the shower water pressure. If any other appliance was using water while showering (another shower, dishwasher, flushed toilet etc.) the shower pressure would drop to 0, ie. droplets. It was manageable, but just required some extra communication to the group prior to showering. Overall, minor issues and a comfortable stay!

Amazing winter view and comfortable beds with ample space for everyone to spread out. Location was very close to the sledding hill which was great for the kids and made it easy to get around after a snow storm since the main road is always plowed.

This cabin was very comfortable, the furniture and beds were very nice. Every detail was well appointed from the drip coffee maker, to the Keurig, to the electric teapot; they really wanted you to have your coffee "your way". Everything about the kitchen was the same, thoughtful in every detail. The rooms were very dark, which meant a great sleep, but they had placed night lights in all the right places so that you could find your way in the dark. The views from the deck were spectacular, we couldn't get enough of the sound of the trees blowing in the wind. Great location as well. Thanks for a great stay. We plan to come back.

A great family trip. We drove up from Florida and my son and his family drove down from Connecticut. A great meeting point. Everyone had their very own space! My only issue was our dog who is not comfortable with other dogs was greeted just after we arrived by a neighbors big black dog. He came right up to the glass door. That set our dog into a panic. He came around almost daily. Everything else was perfect!

5 star property & location. Blessed to see a momma bear & her 3 cubs, as well as a doe & newborn fawn. The property is impeccably clean. The owner & property management company were extremely helpful when the power went out & the gate controller lost it’s brain. Almost too late we found out there are remote controls for the gate on the table inside the door that would have solved the problem.
I also had to ask the management company for a current gate code the day before check in as the check in information gave us only the prior 2 months, so make sure you have that before you arrive.
Highly recommend.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, there is plenty of room to stretch out or sit on the deck and enjoy the views. We had deer about and a nice cozy fireplace. It is a place not to miss, especially for big gatherings. Caution: The roads are a bit windy, especially if one doesn't like night driving. You will enjoy it.

When we discovered the tank for the gas grill was empty, the host had a new one delivered within the hour! I hope to stay there again sometime.

Everything about the stay was perfect! The house itself is in wonderful condition and very neat and tidy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes for our stay. We've stayed at numerous VRBOs over the years but this one is without a doubt the best. The cabin is exactly as described. There were plenty of starter ammenities upon arrival. There were ample cooking utensils and dishes. The beds were extremely comfortable. The only caveat I'd give to potential renters is get there during the day and look for a sign that says Fox Pointe. It's a sketchy drive at night if you haven't been there yet and navigating the drive down in the dark was pretty difficult. Once you've seen it in the daylight its easier. It is literally on the side of the mountain. It is absolutely gorgeous and we'll be returning during the winter. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Stayed here for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding it was only 12 minutes from their venue and lodge beautiful views. The entrance is a little tricky especially at night because there isn't a lot of lighting for you to see putting in the code for the gate and then driving over the steep drop off into the parking area. The home was perfect for what we needed it for.

Atop Banner Elk was nothing short of amazing!! We stayed a total of 8 nights and the house was well stocked with everything you could possibly need! It was super spacious and I loved that they had portable heaters in the rooms! (Fireplace was amazing and the house has regular heat as well) The house was super clean and was in the cutest little neighborhood. Centrally located to everything! We went skiing at Beech Mountain a couple times which was 5 min up the mountain, we did a few different hiking trails to waterfalls and mountain tops. We did the alpine mountain coaster and snow tubing at hawks nest (deff prefer Jonas ridge) but it was still a blast! Couldn't beat a better location to everything this area of North Carolina has to offer. We even extended our stay due to getting snow and being from Florida, we wanted to take full advantage of playing in it! Honestly the only thing that could even possibly make this house any better would be a hot tub —- just throwing that out there. But either way, this house is at the top of our list and we can't wait to come back!!! :)

This cabin is amazing! The attention to detail is one of a kind, we’ve stayed in several cabins and this one by far beats all of them! The location of the cabin is great, you’re literally 6-7 mins away from Beech Mountain and about 15 from sugar mountain… and let’s not forget Grandfather Mountain and winery! Amazing! We had several deers visit different days!
We really enjoyed our vacation!
Only down fall was the fire pit wasn’t in a safe place, and the drive in of the cabin is a little scary…. Especially in the snow… even with a 4WD you still need chains…..
the good thing is that they clean the streets after q snow fall and if you catch the guys in the truck, if you contact them and pay them they will clean the drive way area for you, they don’t go into the area if the garage but they higher part they will do.
Over all we loved our stay!

This is a beautiful place for a family gathering. We really enjoyed the house and the deck. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking big family meals. It was also very clean and nicely furnished.

Owner immediately helped us when the upstairs loft was too hot. Brought a portable AC unit, which really helped. Convenient location. Perfect for my family as we were in town for a wedding.

House was clean, and plenty of space for our group. Location was great - kids spent their days sledding and skiing. Be warned the driveway down to the actual house is steep - good to know in case you are staying during snow/icy conditions.

We were about 3 miles from Beech Mountain. We went skiing, snowboarding and tubing. We also fell in love with Dale the friendly neighborhood dog. It was the perfect long weekend!

Great view, and very quiet neighborhood The living room is not quite as big as it looks online. Very comfortable though, and fine for 5-6 people. Had a little issue with the security gate, but it was fixed within hours of our arrival.

Just one suggestion for future renters. When giving them the address to the cabin make sure you note that they are looking for gated community called Fox Pointe. Lazy Lane inside of gate and let them know how to get into the gate. We were only given 25 Lazy Lane, and ended up having to get a police officer to help. None of the locals even knew of just lazy Lane. This took about 2 hours off of our first night time there as we were lost for a long while. Everything else was excellent. Thank you and God Bless

Nicely furnished home with very well equipped kitchen suitable for anything you may wish to prepare. We found the home to be clean which was appreciated. Nice Mountain View's. Well located especially for Beech, Banner Elk. This is at least our fourth rental through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and all of our contacts with the company have been efficient. Would advise renting through them.

We had a great time in Banner Elk and loved staying in Atop Banner Elk cabin. The cabin itself was a beautiful three story house and was perfect for our family of four and our Black Lab. The bedrooms are so spacious, and everyone had their own bathroom too, which was nice! The downstairs has two bedrooms, one with a large king size bed and the other with two large twin beds. Closets and bedroom dressers provided plenty of room for storage. The master bedroom had two nice walk-in closets! We enjoyed having coffee out on the patio overlooking the mountains. My one and ONLY negative was the height of the patio chairs. The railing on the deck was the same height and blocked the view of the mountains. Just some higher chairs outside so the view could be enjoyed. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is literally up the mountain around the corner and has some great local restaurants including amazing wood fired pizza that we really enjoyed. Grandfather Mountain is really close - about 20 minutes away. The suspension bridge is a must do! Absolutely breathtaking! We did white water rafting and went with Edge of the World right down the mountain in downtown Banner Elk. In my opinion, this is hands down the best company to go with! Family owned and operated and they provided a fried chicken lunch too. The guides are funny and energetic and provided the best day for everyone. From the cabin, it was about 10 minutes. I can't say enough wonderful things about this cabin and the town of Banner Elk. It's so close to everything- Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville Falls and Winery, Grandfather Mountain and Winery, and entrances and exits to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to add Seven Devils waterfall to your list too. It is a beautiful hike. We had a wonderful week and thank you for such amazing accommodations!

The house was very clean and right by Beech Mountain making it easy to go skiing. The kids loved the sledding hill just a mile up the road. Had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

The family was looking for a ski/snowboard weekend. The lodge was perfectly situated between Beech Mountain Resort and downtown Banner Elk. Cozy lodge, well appointed and great views. A little chilly on the lowest level as the outside temps were very low, but plug-in heaters were available. Great room lacked sufficient seating for our group of 8 adults and a toddler, and dining area a little tight, but we made do. We ate all our meals at the lodge and found everything we needed to cook and eat our meals. Fire pit a real disappointment, situated basically on the edge of the driveway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay .

Would defiantly stay at this cabin again. Everything was spotless. Usually when you are on the way home you say “I can't wait to sleep in my own bed” but this was not the case. Whoever picked the mattresses did a dang good job.

The home was beautiful. We didn't expect to have Christmas decorations but there were touches everywhere, including a tree in the living room. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, so the 2 king rooms with their own bathrooms were perfect for the adults, and the boys had the basement level all to themselves with their rooms and own bathroom. There is one TV in the living room, and one in the larger bedroom on the basement floor. We didn't come for TV, so it wasn't a big deal but something to keep in mind. The location was perfect for Beech Mountain. Access to the main road is right there and in a few minutes, you're on the slopes! One person mentioned only a Keurig machine for coffee, but there is a regular coffee machine as well - just explore the cabinets; the kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, and cooking tools. The view is also pretty amazing! Everyone enjoyed the area and the cabin, so I'd recommend this place to anyone.

All was as advertised on website in addition to offering an abundance of cooking equipment and board games for our use. All three master bedrooms offered adequate space and comfort to meet anyone's needs.
The information book provided was well designed in providing may recommendations from hiking trails to include distance and actual location to good quality restaurants in the local area. This area has so much to offer beyond what was listed to entice everyone's interest.
A location my family will reconsider using again if available.
