An Escape to Remember at Eagles Nest

Would stay again. Good value is why we choose this unit. Eagles nest is great just be prepared for the 20 min drive in and out but worth it. Only thing I would suggest is adding a Tesla ev charger would be great. Thanks

This was the second year that we have stayed at An Escape to Remember in Banner Elk, NC. We love the location and view of the mountains and it is the perfect size for my wife and I. We came in on Sunday for 4 nights. We ran the gas fire place a little on Sunday and turned it on again on Monday afternoon. It ran for about 15 minutes and stopped. I couldn't get it started again so I called Blue Ridge and they took the information and said someone would probably come out on Tuesday. No one called or came so I called again Tuesday afternoon. I was told someone was on the list to come out and fix it that day. No one showed on Tuesday or Wednesday and we left on Thursday. We always find a rental that has a fire place as that is one of the things we like while on vacation. We were very disappointed. Before we left on Thursday I did a search to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and there was much dirt accumulation in the corners and under the couches and beds. The place needs a good thorough cleaning. We have rented from Blue Ridge for many years and find their attention to detail and solving a problem while renting a place is not what it used to be. Spent 4 nights with our best friends and the house was perfect for two couples. Decorated tastefully and comfortably. Enjoyed walking access to pickleball courts as well. Didn't use the hot tub but it was nice to have that option. Level parking and swings on front porch and the back porch. Only complaint and it might not bother others who are not light sleepers but the bed in one of the master suites though quite comfortable creaked with every movement bc of the furniture the mattress was in. But we would definitely rent again!

We loved our stay at An Escape to Remember. The house was the perfect size for myself, my two kids (15 & 12), and our dog. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and morning coffee on the deck. It's our second time staying in the Lodges at Eagles Nest and we love it there. Between the trails, mini-golf, playground, basketball courts, and dog park, there is so much to do.The only downside is it's about a 15 minute drive from the main road up to this property...that's a lot of time if you're going into town 2 or 3 times a day...but it wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after long days. We enjoyed the fire pit and cooking on the grill. We were there to celebrate our 60th birthdays and went to the Wizard of Oz festival which was so much fun. We would love to return next year with all the family.

We had planned to grill a few nights and the Weber grill provided was immaculate. The house itself was very comfortable and in a great location.
