Amongst the Clouds at Chappell Farms

Absolutely perfect. Tucked away but still close to skiing, restaurants, and shops. The home was spotless and free of clutter. All of the rooms were spacious and well appointed. WiFi worked with no issues. The view….absolutely breathtaking! There are no words to describe it. We’ve stayed in lots of places around the area, as well as visited Thunder Hill, and this view beats them all. The comfort of your space with a cup of coffee. Chef’s kiss. The kids loved the games, and I loved the large kitchen. Beds were firm but slept great. One piece of advice. Since the area is fairly new with housing, our gps didn’t want to take us all the way to the house. I would suggest touching base with the host to get clear instructions once in the community. Arriving during the day will help as well :) we had to reach out to the host late at night and immediately got a friendly voice on the phone to assist. You will not regret your stay. Truly amongst the clouds!

The house was beautiful and had a great view. The kitchen was well supplied with most every item needed for cooking a Thanksgiving meal. The space was much appreciated by 5 adults and two children. We had to contact the realty office once and received an immediate response.

Amongst the Clouds was perfect for our large family! We are building a house nearby and our extended family came to visit during the build process. The views are jaw dropping! The kitchen is a chefs dream! The hot tub is so big and clean! Our whole family was able to enjoy each other and also have their own space to retreat to. We recommend this to anyone looking for a mountain getaway.

We just got back from an amazing stay at this gorgeous rental, and I can’t say enough good things about it! I went with my two kids, and from the moment we walked in, we were all in awe. The house is beautifully decorated with such a boutique feel—every room felt cozy and special. The kids were thrilled with all the amenities, and I loved how close we were to downtown. It was so easy to pop in for a meal or some shopping, but honestly, we spent most of our time just enjoying the house and the incredible surroundings. The views are breathtaking, and we felt so at peace with nature all around us. One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was the wildlife. We had deer families wandering through the yard, which was amazing enough, but then we actually saw a black bear family from the safety of the house! It was like something out of a nature documentary, and my kids are still talking about it. This place really is a hidden gem. It’s luxurious yet comfortable, with everything you need to feel at home. We had such a memorable time, and we’re already planning our next trip back. If you’re looking for a special place to stay, this is it!

Positive: We felt like we were on top of the world with breath taking views and wildlife every where you looked. The house was beautifully decorated and comfy. We loved that all the rooms had their own bathrooms with plenty of space to spread out and get ready. Along with the big hot tub and entertainment for the kids. It was scenic but close to downtown Banner Elk with plenty of restaurants and stores to choose from. We had an amazing time!! Negative: The only thing I would have liked to see is maybe a few more towels. We didn’t have enough to go around with having a pull out bed downstairs and a daybed upstairs. Also make sure you bring your own trash bags and extra paper towels and toilet paper along with dish soap.

Waking up to the most gorgeous sunrises possible is a must! This house was amazing. This place was absolutely beautiful, every inch of this home was immaculately decorated! The views are spectacular, the kitchen is well equipped as well as the rest of the house. Very spacious, there is a walk in jacuzzi, foosball table and a ping pong table to keep you and the kids entertained. We are looking forward to our next trip.

It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen up that high, just gorgeous! And I literally felt like I was amongst the clouds! There were so many wonderful details that made our family vacation easy, fun and stress free here. The kitchen was perfect for preparing big meals with lots of room along side of others. And they had just about everything you could possibly need to get all that cooking done. My toddlers had a blast here as-well, we felt it was very child friendly, but still very lavish and special for the adults. There was a door on the main floor where the stairs go down which gave me great peace of mind to keep my kiddos safe. And the rails on the second floor balcony also going down the stair way are so beautiful and hand made and there is no way a child could squeeze through. Super safe! They had a special lower drawer in the kitchen for all the things you need for littles, so I didn’t have to bring anything for them! It’s details like this that make vacationing as a parent relaxing and fun! They also loved the walk in bath tub! Oh and the water pressure is awesome! Definitely take lots of showers, it’s like a water massage seriously! Every night we enjoyed the jacuzzi which was so luxurious and very clean plus it had multiple special features like a water fall, special lights, head rests and more.. I’ve never been in one so nice! Truly this vacation home exceeded my expectations in every way!We will be back!

The location is really great to Beech (there's even a dirt backroad to Beech right off the subdivision), Banner Elk, Sugar, and Grandfather. We plan on coming back in the summer to do some river tubing nearby and hike the Profile Trail. Can't wait!
