Amen Corner was a perfect mountain getaway. The home was clean, well organized and welcoming. It had all the needed kitchenware to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. It was a good central location to explore Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone. We loved that we were able to include our dog on the trip; he loved the fresh mountain air! The extra TV room upstairs and rec room downstairs were an added bonus.

Fabulous property! Great location near Boone, Valle Crucis, and Banner Elk but still private and secluded. The cabin is impeccable and well stocked. We enjoyed the gas grill and hot tub. Great views from covered wrap around porch with rocking chairs. We will be coming back!

We had a great time staying in Amen Corner. The house was perfect, very clean and located perfectly for all our outings. Hot tub was also very well maintained and a nice treat after a day of skiing and ice skating. Parking was tight with several other vehicles but would definitely stay again!

This house was perfect from start to finish! The listing was detailed and very accurate. Booking was easy, although I HATE all the separate fees that VRBO has broken down instead of just a total price when looking. Communication the entire time with the management company was a breeze and they went above and beyond to make sure we knew how to get in contact with them should an issue arise, which it never did. We arrived at the property and it was very clean and spacious. The basement level with ping pong and foosball was a hit! The hot tub was extremely clean and the views were breathtaking. Kitchen plates, silverware, etc were plentiful. I loved the starter kit in the bathrooms and kitchen of soap, etc. Extra trash bags in each trash can was very useful. Checkout was also a breeze. Honestly can’t say anything bad about this property. Not sure why they don’t want you parking in the driveway, it is steep but not unmanageable.

The cabin, Amen Corner, was perfect. Well stocked with towels, dishes, linen, etc. Clean. It was the best vacation home we have stayed in. The hot tub and recreation center were welcome additions. The view of the mountains made us feel at home in Vermont. One of our grandkids said that this cabin had everything he had dreamed of. He is 6 years old. He rated it a 10. We are already planning another trip to Amen Corner.

The cabin was a perfect fit for my family with so much comfort and cleanliness. We enjoyed “home cooked” meals with all the amenities onsite. This was the most perfect vacation stay for my outdoorsy family, including our sweet Marley! 🐾We loved the hot tub after all the long hikes and enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful wraparound porch. Great stay. If it is snowing or icy you will need awd or 4x4 to get up the last hill to the house. House was quiet location with a great view and the hot tub topped it off. Only 10 miles from hawks nest tubing which is where we went.

It was so close to my daughter's apartment and the ASU campus. Very clean and comfortable and had everything we would need. We would love to stay again when we have more time. This cabin was perfect for our family of 5! The bedrooms are spaced out enough that everyone had their privacy. It was very clean and comfortable. I always appreciate starter paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, laundry/dishwasher tabs (and makeup remover wipes were a bonus). The hot tub was ideal! Many hot tubs in other rentals never seem to get hot enough. This one was hot and spacious! We really enjoyed the foosball and ping pong table as well. The only negatives were some of the house quirks. The upstairs master was much hotter than the rest of the house, the master bedroom door wouldn’t remain shut (and woke me up each night), some of the beds were creaky, and the TVs/DVD players could use updating. But overall, the house was perfect and we would come back again. It met all of our family needs. The views were lovely! The no contact check in/check out process was seamless.

The house was very clean and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed playing ping pong and foosball and then soaking in the hot tub while it snowed outside. The rental process was easy. However, the gas was out in the fireplace, we kept plenty warm with central heating.

Chose Amen Corner for a short birthday celebration weekend. We chose it because the family wanted a hot tub and this was one of the few places that offered a view with the hot tub. This place did not disappoint! We loved every minute! There's enough of a mountain view to enjoy coffee or wine on the wrap-around deck. The hot tub was awesome! Jets, changing lights...what more can you ask for? Kids loved it. The cover definitely needs an adult to handle and someone does need to be in the hot tub to left remove it and put it back because of limited area around the hot tub, but it was used immensely during our trip. The house has plenty of room for two adults and three kids (with space left over). It's gorgeous inside, warm surroundings. Plenty of games to choose from, including some domineering ping pong if you choose. Kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner (I made one...it was vacation after all). The water got very hot and the shower pressure was awesome! The beds were comfy and roomy. This cabin offers just enough remoteness to relax at night and star gaze, but you can get to amenities like grocery stores, places to eat, Boone, overlooks on the BRP easily. We didn't want to be too remote, but the gravel road up to the cabin (our pickup enjoyed it) made you feel like you were super secluded. There's only two other houses near this cabin, but we saw people only two times. It really is a quiet corner. There's not many places I'd say we'd stay again, but this location, and wanting a cabin feel, and having the extra fun of a hot tub really does make us want to rent it again when we travel to this area once more. The reservation process, check-in process, and check-out process were super easy (never spoke to an actual person). Of course I looked for wildlife, and on our check-out morning our daughter and her friend got to see a huge buck in the small little meadow beside the cabin. Boo! Make sure you pick some goldenrod and Queen Anne's lace in that little meadow and make yourself a table bouquet. Awesome stay! And all the people say Amen!

Chose Amen Corner for a short birthday celebration weekend. We chose it because the family wanted a hot tub and this was one of the few places that offered a view with the hot tub. This place did not disappoint! We loved every minute! There's enough of a mountain view to enjoy coffee or wine on the wrap-around deck. The hot tub was awesome! Jets, changing lights...what more can you ask for? Kids loved it. The cover definitely needs an adult to handle and someone does need to be in the hot tub to left remove it and put it back because of limited area around the hot tub, but it was used immensely during our trip. The house has plenty of room for two adults and three kids (with space left over). It's gorgeous inside, warm surroundings. Plenty of games to choose from, including some domineering ping pong if you choose. Kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner (I made one...it was vacation after all). The water got very hot and the shower pressure was awesome! The beds were comfy and roomy. This cabin offers just enough remoteness to relax at night and star gaze, but you can get to amenities like grocery stores, places to eat, Boone, overlooks on the BRP easily. Loved this cabin!! All thought was put into the amenities and comforts of living out a cozy stay. A stunning view of the mountains with wrap around porch and jacuzzi. We cooked, played games (including the paddle tennis and fooseball), and enjoyed the nearby town shops and out door activities that Boon and Blowing Rock provided. We had trouble getting the DVD to work, but decisive didn’t need it. We’ll definitely be back!! This place is a treasure!

What a great place! I took my two teen sons on a father-son vacation to the mountains, and they couldn't believe I'd gotten such an incredible cabin for our stay. I scored A LOT of dad points with this one. Roomy, clean, quiet and with a great view. AND it's very accessible to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had an unforgettable time in the mountains, and Amen Corner was the perfect cabin to come back to each day after our adventures. We'll be back!

The cabin was more than satisfactory and the location was great from skiing to dining or visiting places like Grandfather Mountain, the Mast General Store and various falls. It was a lovely home with everything we needed to make our stay perfect! The location was perfect and even though the weather didn't cooperate with snow, the fake snow at both Appalachian and Beech Mountain worked out just fine. My daughter and I actually enjoyed the warmer weather and with my son, we did quite a bit of hiking at Linville Falls. We did a lot with the time we were there and I am now a hot tub fan (only because this one was immaculate upon our arrival)! My 21 year old son was right, there is nothing better than a hot tub after a day on the slopes! We truly enjoyed spending time all together in the beautiful cabin and loved the large table for playing games on in the evening with the fireplace going.

Loved the big, well-equipped kitchen. We used every area--grill, ping-pong, hot tub, wrap-around porch. All electronics and wi-fi worked well, and we appreciated the notebook and labels to let us navigate the house with ease. It's close to the University, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie, and Blowing Rock, making it a perfect choice for our trip.

We were looking for a good cabin that was close to hiking, river tubing, town and other things to do and that would be good for couples (more than one bedroom with king/queen beds) and this definitely fit the bill. There were plenty of games and movies, and a nice book put together of information about the cabin and the area. We will plan on staying in this cabin again if it is available when we return to the Boone area.

What a wonderful cabin and setting. If you were taken blindfolded to the cabin you would think you were hundreds of miles from civilization, not 10 minutes from downtown Boone. The cabin is like a five star hotel and the ammenities are awesome. There is something to do for the entire family or just sit out the large outside deck and relax. My son and I will remember this trip for the rest of our lives.

Fantastic, Beautiful, Relaxing...I could go on forever! We have been coming to Boone for over 20 years and this has been one of the most wonderful trips for our family. I have felt the peace here that our family needed to relax and reconnect. Last night, my husband and I enjoyed the views from the back deck. As I write, I am listening to my teenager and his Dad play ping-pong and the laughter is intoxicating. The teenager asked if we could come back to this exact house. (That is a MAJOR compliment). It was a very relaxing time at Amen Corner. The cabin was so well stocked with beautiful views, games,hot tub and peace and quiet, that we were tempted to just stay there the whole week. We did drive to some local sites and it was always great to return to the porch for an evening drink and dinner on the deck. I would recommend "Amen Corner" to anyone that wants good times and good memories on their vacation.

This was a respite from the Florida heat for my brother, his wife and one child (who is 6'4" and 20) plus 3/4 of our family from Greensboro. There was a good 15 degree difference from the Piedmont and the cooler weather was a welcome change from this incredibly hot summer. We enjoyed each other, played ping pong and foosball and ate like pigs. The hot tub was welcome after a day of hiking and the availability of nice plastic wine glasses was exceptionally nice! The kitchen is very well stocked and all the extras have been well thought out for the guests. We had a wonderful time, made some new memories and got to relax for a few days. A very welcoming, comfortable home!

Just got back yesterday...soooo hated to leave! We took our two tween daughters and my mom. She celebrated her 70th birthday. The house was awesome, perfect in every way. Favorite spot was the porch overlooking the mountains.Very peaceful. We couldn't have asked for anything more..thank you sharing such a wonderful home....we can't wait to return (next time only mom and dad will go!)

This mountain house was a "breath of fresh air" when we walked inside, very cozy and the place actually seemed nicer than the pictures depicted. The view from the back of the house is gorgeous, not only can you see the tops of many, many trees, you can also see the beautiful mountains. The gas logs add a nice touch of ambiance & it heats up very quickly. The house is laid out very nicely for both enjoyment & privacy. It has everything provided, except your toothbrush. The hot tub looks new, and relaxing & having fun in it enjoying the outdoors speaks for itself! This is the first time we've stayed at this place, but hopefully not the last. I highly recommend this place, you would not be disappointed; plus it is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Boone. It's a win-win-win.

Great spot away from it all! Loved the views & found all the comforts of home all the way down to a hair-dryer. Thanks for the local info in your guest book. Made finding good food & fun things to do effortless.And the hot tube made for a great night's sleep!

My husband, our daughter, her boyfriend,our son, his girlfriend and her parents stayed during the fall of '09. The cabin was beautifully appointed ... very clean and had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed meals together at the big family table, watching movies together, and many, many hours out on the porch rocking and just taking it easy and enjoying each other's company. Even when it rained, the porch was a delight. My very favorite thing to do was to get up every morning before everyone else woke and go outside to the table with my Bible, computer (to play my favorite Christian artists at www.pandora.com), and a cup of coffee. I wish that I had a place like that to do my Bible study and have my quiet time every day! We never made it to the hot tub, although it was our intention. The kids loved it, They also enjoyed the game tables in the basement. We would love to go back again. Unfortunately, our daughter is no longer dating the man who went with her, and she doesn't want to be reminded of him. It's a real shame. That's the only reason we would not go back.
