We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home. The property was exceptionally well appointed and offered all the amenities we needed, including a thoughtfully equipped kitchen. We also appreciated its convenient proximity to the town of Blowing Rock. What a darling cabin!!! As a picky VRBO owner we were so impressed with this cabin. The cabin is even prettier in person, it is beautifully appointed. Kitchen is very well stocked and all the beds were very comfortable. If you're reading older reviews, please disregard the 32 steps some mention they are no longer there. The walkway shown is current and it's very accessible from your vehicle, I think there may be six very easy steps. It is very well located. You can get downtown in a matter of minutes. We had such a great stay here highly recommend it as well as the town of Blowing Rock.

This house was absolutely gorgeous! It felt very private although it was close to so many restaurants and shopping. The house was immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was a special touch! We relaxed in it every evening we were there. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean the grill was. It looked like it had never been used. The kitchen was equipped with absolutely everything that we could possibly need plus some. We loved the place so much that we extended our stay for another night. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing getaway at an amazingly beautiful home and location. We will definitely be coming back!

Really cute cabin located about six minutes from blowing rock. Very clean and well appointed. It was perfect for a buddy and I who wanted to get away for the weekend. The hot tub, which is not attached to the house, was very nice.

This place is great. It's a little tricky to find in the dark, but once we got there, WOW. It didn't disappoint. Deserves 5-star all the way starting at communication when booking, all the way through and even during the stay. There's nothing that we ever needed, but it was nice knowing they were there. If there could be any slight request, it would be to have more towels and hand soap would be a nice touch for bathrooms (and kitchen.)

We stayed at the cabin for our mini honeymoon to Blowing Rock, and it was perfect for our needs. Very cozy, with just the right about of space for two people. Although we bought a lot of our own food (and/or went out to eat) most of the time, the kitchen had everything we needed cookware wise, which was so nice. Perfect location, too -- I think we were, at most, only 10 minutes from everything we wanted to do! The only thing to be aware of is that the sheets and towels were washed with heavily scented detergent. I have strong allergies to scents, so this likely won't apply to most people staying there. Thankfully, the cabin has a washing machine and dryer, and we happened to have brought our own unscented detergent from home, which helped a lot. Again, this was ultimately a minor thing and likely not one that would bother most guests! Overall, a lovely place to hang out and relax!

This was a great cabin. The location is perfect if you want privacy but also easy access to Blowing Rock and the highway. It is not secluded or remote; you share a parking area with the next house over, but while we saw a car we never saw or heard a person. It is an easy trip to the store or to restaurants but is still a private cabin in the woods. It’s a beautiful place that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We came with our girls, ages 8 and 11 for 5 nights. They loved the downstairs bedroom and declared the beds “the best ever.” We loved having separation from them on the main floor. The living room is a great size for a family of 4 and very comfortable. It rained most days we were there which meant less hiking for us and lots of board games and reading. We loved the hot tub and used it several times during our stay. From the cabin we saw woodpeckers and lots of other birds, which was great for the kids.
We did have one issue which was not a big deal for us. We heard some scurrying sounds the first night, and then on day 2 of our trip we saw a mouse run under the fridge. We called the property manager and maintenance came out there in about an hour. We didn’t find a nest (despite looking down one), we never saw the mouse again, we never saw any mouse droppings, and the cabin was very very clean. We just kept our food in the fridge and microwave and kept the counters clean to deter any other visitors. I feel like visiting mice are something that is to be expected when you rent a cabin in the woods that likely does not have someone in it 365 days of the year and i would be more concerned if we found droppings or evidence of an extended rodent stay. I was very happy with how quickly maintenance came over to look for possible entry points even though we didn’t find anything.
Check-in and check-out were both very easy. There’s a keypad entry so no worries about taking (and losing) a house key. Overall this was a nice cabin managed by a responsive company. We loved it and would stay here again.

Even though it snowed all weekend, the road to the house was cleared every day and we felt fine driving in our AWD vehicle. This location was perfect for trips into blowing Rock, Boone and other towns. It was less than 10 minutes into blowing Rock which was the perfect Christmas town to get your mind mostly off all the covid troubles. We did research and went to dinner at Twiggs maybe 10 minutes from the cabin which did everything possible to follow pandemic guidelines. Highly recommend them. Now to the cabin.. Very clean. Thanks to Ashley who cleaned the cabin. it was large yet felt very cozy at same time. The gas fireplace really pumped out the heat and added to the cozy feel. The bed on main level was comfortable as well. Overall we felt so at home there and find out peaceful. when we had a question the Management firm jumped to respond. A couple things for you to consider. Location is terrific to get to grandfather mountain, very close to hop on Blueridge parkway and Moses cone mansion. The challenge we had was on checking in and out it was big hassle getting our stuff up and down the three sets of stairs. If you are younger you probably won't sweat it. But if you have physical issues be sure to call and feel comfortable as Everytime you leave and come back or take garbage out you will be dealing with the stairs.

We enjoyed 5 nights at this lovely cabin, located in a nice neighborhood a little over a mile from downtown Blowing Rock. The neighborhood is adjacent to the BR Country Club golf course and the BR Conference Center. The beds were good and the living area spacious. Great selection of things to watch on the big tv, and good lamps for reading. The rockers on the front porch were great! The grill on the back deck worked like a charm. Our only negatives were the missing handle on the refrigerator door—someone had rigged-up a canvas loop to open it!— and the low quality—or age—of the kitchen pots, pans and utensils. They very much need an upgrade. There are also several steps down to this cabin from the parking area—we navigated them fine, but this would not be a good choice for renters who have mobility issues or just plain don’t want to haul their luggage and groceries up and down 20 or so steps!

We had two couples looking for a quick getaway from kids, schedules, and responsibilities and we found the perfect place! It ended up being very cold this weekend (too cold for golf and shopping) so we mostly hung out at the cabin. We loved the simple Christmas decorations, the warm fire. We were very thankful for the clean, and nice accommodations. A few suggestions we would make is better, more cozy living room furniture and it didn't seem that the hot tub got as warm as we would've liked.
The lights on the rails, the 30 mph winds, the stars and freezing temps made the hot tub interesting to say the least but despite the lack of heat and lots of bubbles, I'd rate this place as excellent! Thanks for a great weekend!

We certainly appreciate the nice 5 Star rating and review from this guest. The living area has upholstered furniture seating for five and one additional chair for total seating of six(pictured in three different angles). For a cabin our size, this is most always ample seating for our guests.
I did have the hot tub checked by our technician; the water temperature is set and holding at the recommended and safe level for vacation rentals. As mentioned in a previous review response, when the air temperature is cold (under 50 degrees) and especially when it is very cold (around freezing) as this guest mentioned in her review, once the hot tub cover is removed and is in use the water temperature begins declining. After 20-30 minutes of use, it is normal and expected for the water temperature to be cooler. At that time, it is suggested to put the cover back on and return later for another warm and toasty hot tub visit.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very cute, extremely clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It was perfect for two couples, we each had our own bedroom and private bath. We enjoyed the hot tub after a challenging hike at Grandfather Mountain. It's a few minutes from the main downtown area, and we had no problem finding parking downtown. We would definitely stay here again.

This is the most wonderful cabin. My husband and two children and I stayed here for our spring break vacation, and it was idyllic. The interior is beautifully appointed, and very comfortable. The kitchen is just the right size for fixing simple meals, and gives you all you need for keeping the family well fed. The restaurants and shopping in the area offer a really good range as well. I highly recommend this lovely escape in the mountains.

We had a wonderful weekend in Altitude's Attitude. It was a perfect amount of space for 5 of us, and we loved using the hot tub, sitting in front of the fireplace, and making most of our meals at the house. (A perfect escape for 5 young moms!) The house is clean and nicely appointed. We would definitely recommend it to others. The only thing that was not in top working condition was the hot tub; not all the jets were working, and we couldn't get the temperature to stay as high as we would have liked. But, that is a very minor complaint given how wonderful the weekend was at the cabin!

This property was perfect for our family of four. The location is near the rental office or grocery store, and two miles from downtown Blowing Rock or a very popular part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kids loved watching deer in the backyard each morning. We visited the following along or near the BRP: Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls and Gorge, Linville Cove Viaduct, Moses Cone Manor, and Cascades Trail and The Lump.
The accommodations were as described and shown in the listing. The kitchen and living area are very comfortable and well decorated. The furniture throughout is tasteful and in good condition. The mattresses are in great shape. The towels are fluffy. The two-bedroom layout of the home was perfect for us as we sent the kids downstairs to sleep. The TV and appliances all worked as expected. We did not use the hot tub but it was tempting.
The only drawback I can imagine is that it might be difficult for a guest with a walker or a cane to negotiate the walkway to the front door or the downstairs bedroom, but that's not uncommon for mountain homes.
Accessing downtown was easy. We took in the average BBQ at Woodlands on 321 one night which was made better by the live entertainment upstairs. We also ate at Six Pence Pub and caught the end of a football game, then did some shopping.

I'm tempted to skip the review so as to keep this treasure of a property from being found out but I know that's not the way it works! My husband and I rent homes and villas around the world so I venture to say we know good from bad and have developed discriminating taste for rental property. "Altitude's Attitude" is a gem. We've stayed in several clean houses with great locations before, just like this one, but often a rental home is sparsely decorated and can feel uninviting. This cabin is well-appointed and every inch of the home is cared for with attention to detail, mountain elegance and quality. The linens are top shelf, the luxurious towels are monogrammed, the kitchen is well-equipped and organized, all seating is comfortable, and the cabin is tucked away while being very close to downtown. I actually brought my own bed linens and towels, something I've learned to do during my travels, but promptly left them in the suitcase once I discovered what a quality home we rented. The cabin has it all. The floor plan is fantastic and lends itself well to privacy for you and your guest(s). Because we also used our time there to investigate the area and homes for purchase, I can tell you this cabin is located in a very desirable area of Blowing Rock with other lovely homes nearby. We've stayed in several clean houses with great locations before, just like this one, but often a rental home is sparsely decorated and can feel uninviting. This cabin is well-appointed and every inch of the home is cared for with attention to detail, mountain elegance and quality. The linens are top shelf, the luxurious towels are monogrammed, the kitchen is well-equipped and organized, all seating is comfortable, and the cabin is tucked away while being very close to downtown. I actually brought my own bed linens and towels, something I've learned to do during my travels, but promptly left them in the suitcase once I discovered what a quality home we rented. The cabin has it all. The floor plan is fantastic and lends itself well to privacy for you and your guest(s). Because we also used our time there to investigate the area and homes for purchase, I can tell you this cabin is located in a very desirable area of Blowing Rock with other lovely homes nearby. I'm tempted to skip the review so as to keep this treasure of a property from being found out but I know that's not the way it works! My husband and I rent homes and villas around the world so I venture to say we know good from bad and have developed discriminating taste for rental property. Altitudes Attitude is a gem. Beautiful home and we had a wonderful time exploring Blowing Rock and surrounding towns and sites. Everyone we had contact with were so friendly and so helpful. We could not have asked for a nicer place to have our "girls getaway week-end" If I had to offer just two suggestions they would be this: the light over the dining table needs to have higher watt lightbulbs as we could barely see to eat and or play games and cards. We actually had to move the big floor lamp from the living room over by the table when we played cards. Also, the address is not visible at all at night from the road. We drove by multiple times before we just took a chance and pulled in and walked down and tried the key. Actually, it isn't really that visible during the day either. Maybe bigger reflector lights on the post or something and also keep foliage around it trimmed..bottom number not visible at all. These were minor minuses compared to all the pluses of your lovely home...just thought you would like to know about them though. Thank you so much for sharing and we certainly look forward to when we will be able to enjoy your little bit of paradise again. We certainly appreciate the nice comments by this guest. As a follow up to the two suggestions given: the chandelier over the dining table is on a toggle dimmer and just needed to be adjusted - you can see how bright it can be in the dining area picture; regarding finding the cabin - when a guest checks in with our rental manager, written directions including distances are provided, and are accurate. The house is not perfectly visible from the street due to the nice tree buffer. We do have a standard-sized post adjacent to the property with the house numbers on it and reflectors at night - it is set a few feet from the street to prevent damage/being covered from plowed snow banks in the winter. Our large parking area with trash can holder (pictured) is also a great landmark to look for on the left as you arrive, and will have walkway lighting after dark.

Had a lovely stay @ cabin - loved the decor and location. Very convenient to downtown blowing rock, hiking, and tweetsie. Beautiful kitchen, nicely appointed bedrooms. Loved the comfy living room and hot tub. Very open floor plan with a lot of natural light. Only possible comment for improvement would be heating - seemed to run warm in center of house and cold in bedrooms. For me, this is not a problem as I love being cold! Just something to make note of. Husband got up a couple times each night to bump thermostat up. With that being said, we would absolutely stay here again as it was beautiful and clean and so convenient! Also owner very responsive to our concerns early on about steps going into property for in-laws with mobility issues. THANKS SO MUCH!

We greatly appreciate this guest's review and rating. We do have an extra supply of blankets (wool and down) as well as a very safe to use space heater for those guests that enjoy more warmth at night. Setting the thermostat a little higher before bedtime is also suggested.

On future trips, Altitude's Attitude will be our destination. With 4 adults and our 18 month old grandchild, the accommodations were perfect. We would love to spend a few days at this property during each season. The location was perfect. The cabin was supplied with anything that we would need and very well maintained. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. There were plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. We enjoyed watching the deer amble through the property early every morning. We would recommend this property to anyone of our friends. As a matter of fact, our daughter and her family enjoyed the property so much that they plan to return very soon!

This cabin is the cleanest one my husband and I have ever stayed in. Not one negative comment can I make about this rental. Immaculate, very comfortable, convenient to everything in the area, quiet - I can't say enough. Owner and management company a pleasure to deal with. The "starter" supplies (papertowels, soap, tissue and even facial wipes for the ladies) were so thoughtful. The bed and linens are top of the line. When you open the door - you immediately begin to feel relaxed and know that your vacation is going to be one of the best you have ever had. We will definitely go back to this cabin every chance we get.

We loved staying at Altitudes Attitude! I agonized over finding the perfect place to stay for our family vacation this year. Time with family is precious and there is nothing worse than showing up at a cabin and finding yourself instantly disappointed! We were beyond pleased with what we found and it was even better in person! The home was warm and inviting, the area was close to everything while still feeling private and it was very clean. Our youngest is crawling so cleanliness is especially important to us! We found the book of places to visit very useful as well, thank you! We look forward to returning in the future!

This house is super attractive, clean,has well stocked kitchen, and super comfy beds. I will say, however, that it is best suited for 2 adults because the deck is small with only two chairs. Great winter view from front porch where there is no seating. There are feathers in every room, if you are allergic as I am, warning.
We had one college daughter visit and stay in day bed downstairs with sister and was very comfortable. The house is in a great location, pretty wooded lot with good flat parking. Photos of property very accurate.

We much appreciate the nice review and rating from this guest. Our cabin is a two bedroom home, approximately 1400 square feet in size, and is the perfect dwelling for those guests looking for cozy, yet ample accommodations. It is perfect for one or two couple(s) or small family, yet it can sleep up to eight surprisingly very comfortably, as each bedroom and bath are on separate levels. Our outdoor seating on the balcony and front porch is not intended to provide seating for all that can it sleep - the balcony has two adirondack chairs as shown in the photo. The front porch has a small bench and two rockers (also shown in the photo) for seating up to three. We do put away the rockers in the cold winter and early spring season, which was the case while this guest was staying with us. The rockers are not weatherproof and take a beating during the cold season, so it extends the life and condition of the rockers for when it is warmer. Any more outdoor seating and these areas would be just too crowded with furniture. As with any potential guest, please contact us with any specific questions regarding our home - we are happy to answer them to make sure it will be the perfect fit for your next mountain getaway.

The reality of this home is better than the pictures! My husband and I rented this home for a few days in August 2012 to just relax. It had everything we needed plus. Beautifully decorated and well appointed (color of great room in pics is quite off - it is not aqua but a wonderful dark green).

Beautiful property looks like was professionally decorated. Enjoyed the cabin very much and has many great features like decks and gas logs that were unexpected. View of the woods, paved driveway, very close to Blowing Rock and nice hot tub. Very clean and very new. Really enjoyed our stay and would rent it again!

We enjoyed our time at your cabin. It was so convenient to Blowing Rock & the Blue Ridge Parkway, yet felt secluded. Our boys loved climbing the trees, making forts in the woods, and "swimming" in the hot tub. The grown-ups enjoyed the fireplace & the views from the porches!
