We had a delightful experience renting with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Google Maps sent us through a private street. That was our mistake. BRMR provided turn-by-turn instructions that we decided to ignore. After finding our way to the property, we found a cozy, well-maintained cabin that met our expectations. If you are looking of for a place to retreat or focus, this is the right place. The cabin and the area are very dark and there is not a single noise to be heard at night.
We cooked our own food. We found all the needed cookware in the kitchen. We only had to wash the blender thoroughly as it was clear that nobody had used it in a long time.
Our dog and cat enjoyed the property too. Our dog enjoyed promenades on the grounds. The cabin had lots of hideaways for the cat. We do appreciate that the property accepted cats. It is very hard to find properties that do.
If darkness and silence is not for you, the cabin has a fast, reliable, Internet connection that you can use to catch up on your favorite TV series. We decided to bring our own Fire TV box. This is much less hassle that having to log on for each service in the provided Roku TVs.
The cabin is a short drive away from Blowing Rock. We enjoyed shopping and fine dining there. The drive to and back to the cabin is quite a treat. You get magnificent views of the Blue Ridge mountains, especially at dusk and dawn.

We loved the property location. It's in a quiet neighborhood that is perfect for walking. We enjoyed the large tv in the family room when we weren't on the back porch enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature. The pool table was also a big hit. We look forward to returning soon.

Great little cabin! Good location to travel to blowing rock/ grandfather mountain. Cleanliness could have been a bit better, there was a left over article of clothing on the patio from a previous guest and one of the bedrooms had a pet odor. Master bed felt a bit like an air mattress. Overall, small issues to a cute place to stay for a weekend trip. Would come back!

Staying there was very relaxing and peaceful...but we had so much we could do there. We made sure to check out the hot tub after grilling. The cabin was perfect-clean and organized the lay out was good. Hot tub and bbq grill worked great - the location was perfect close to several lakes and hiking trails 5-10 minutes away and 1/2 mile from Blue Ridge parkway. The quiet neighborhood was so peaceful and had a nice 1/2 mile circle to walk the dog around the neighborhood. Will definitely put this on our list of vacation cabins to re visit.

This lovely home is ten minutes away from downtown Blowing Rock and also near Grandfather mountain. It is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with a partial view of the mountains, large grassy lot, and plenty of room and spaces to hang out or be alone both inside and outside. We found the house to be quite clean. There were a few cobwebs here a there (such as on the chandelier and hard to reach places), but all of the furniture, hard surfaces/tables, bedrooms and baths were impeccably clean. The house was well appointed with all basic kitchen needs, plenty of towels, trash bags, pillows and even DVD's although we did not watch any TV. The internet password was located inside the house binder and was very fast, so much so that one of us was able to work remotely with ease.
The house was somewhat challenging to find as the house numbers are not in order and the house itself is shielded by trees from the road (and we arrived after dark, and the neighborhood is not well lit- which makes for a great nights' sleep). There is a wooden sign with the name "Mountain Hideaway" which we eventually found. By comparison, all switches and amenities are labeled in the house which helps you get oriented to where everything is. Everything was so easy.
The rental company contacted us frequently (by email and text) to make sure we had everything we needed and it was much appreciated.
The house was extremely comfortable and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The house was super clean and easily accessible. I loved the private little neighborhood it's in and right off the blue ridge parkway. It was a perfect area to walk the dog and cute scenery. Everything was easily accessible to us and we loved driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway each day and seeing the gorgeous scenery. The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved the labels on all the drawers and switches letting us know what everything was in the house. The pool/ping pong table in the master bedroom was an added bonus and our kids loved it!! We would definitely rent this property again.

We loved the property and location. We had two families and this only had beds for 3 of our 6 children. We had two on air mattresses and one on the pull out couch. Next time I will choose a location with more actual beds. For a weeks stay the children deserve to sleep on an actual bed.

We had a snowfall of 8" during our stay, and the cabin was the perfect place to experience it. Weber grill was clean and had a full tank. Recommend you bring a sled for the kids in the winter, as the side yard is a perfect incline. We had a great time, thank you to VRBO & the owners!!

We discovered Blue Ridge Mountian Rentals as we were looking for a safe place from hurricane Florence. We could not be more pleased with the service we received! A Mountian Hideaway was BEAUTIFUL, super clean, close to Blowing Rock, all the amenities we could ask for (hot tub!!) and the kitchen was FULLY stocked. This Home allows pets but it is impossible to tell a pet was ever in there is it so clean. The beds are comfortable, the linens are great and the living space is huge. It was the perfect home away from home and we will be returning!!!

What a great location and cabin! All the comforts of home with the bonus of a wide variety of cooking pans and dishes. Greatly appreciated the weber gas grill. The neighborhood is quiet, and the porches are inviting. The bed slept well. A huge thank you for making this property dog friendly. You even had carpet covers on the stairs for our four legged friends. The weekend was a great getaway. We look forward to our next stay in July.

Took the great grandparents, grandparents and mom and dad. Baby too. Loved the Wood burning fireplace on main level. And one in basement. All enjoyed!

We had a wonderful time. Loved the cabin. Loved the people we met. It was so nice not to hear loud music, cars flying up and down the road.... I wouldn't change a thing. It was perfect. We will be back. I just love this area. I can't say enough. Your town is a diamond in the rough.
