he cabin was beautiful, clean and spacious. Fit our holiday gathering of 8 adults and three dogs perfectly. We especially enjoyed the open kitchen which made holiday cooking easy even with several cooks cooking at once. We were so grateful for the expansive pots and pans, and serving ware that was available for our Thanksgiving feast.
The location was central to Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather mountain and Banner Elk- which made our holiday hikes easy. Although only a few miles off 105, the cabin felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and was in a quiet neighborhood.
The only down side was that the hot tub was not working properly which we were notified on the day of check in which was disappointing, but the pool table was a big hit! We would absolutely rent this cabin again in the future!

Convenient location to ASU. The cabin is only 10 minutes from campus, but feels very private. The host provided easy check-in instructions. The property was as described and had everything we needed as a group of 8.

I have always wanted to take our dogs to see snow. It was a wonderful experience to find a beautiful place that would allow pets. Check in was a little rocky as reception was spotty and the code to get in didnt work, but a quick phone call resolved the whole issue. They provided many towels, paper towels, toilet paper, ect. It makes a difference, i promise. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great weekend at this cabin home. The location is great, being super convenient to Boone and Sugar Mountain. It's also really easy to get to, even in bad weather, as the streets are paved and maintained, so the snow/ice was not a problem. The house is large, with plenty of beds for a big group. It has a great wrap-around porch, nice firepit area right outside the door, a large kitchen, and a nice little pool table area in the basement. Would definitely book again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The wide, wraparound porch (part covered and part open) was delightful. We were also pleasantly surprised to see built-in gates on the porch that made it where we could watch our two medium dogs run around outside as if they were in a fenced yard and not have to worry about them getting loose and running down the steps to the yard. The hot tub on the deck was very enjoyable and easy to follow the instructions to use. We appreciated being able to spread out over 3 levels, and the pool table was a fun addition. Since 2 of our party are big hot tea drinkers, it was really nice having the electric kettle as well as a coffee pot for our coffee drinkers. Ample starting supplies for kitchen and bathrooms. We loved having the EV charger feature, since we have an electric car--so convenient! All in all, it was a great place for our party of 4 family members and 2 dogs--the dogs really loved it too! I could see us coming back!

With 3 levels this house has plenty of room for our 6 adults and our dogs. The dogs especially enjoy the wrap around deck, and we also enjoy the deck because half of it is uncovered and half of it is covered, which is great for being able to enjoy the occasional mountain shower.

Location and property were fantastic. Very nice home. Plenty of space and amenities for everyone. It is very evident the owners think of the little things such as a towel hook right by the shower. My only complaint were the beds were very hard. Definitely could be more comfortable. The twin beds were memory foam but others need to be replaced. Check out Dreamcloud mattresses. Very affordable and comfortable. We would consider staying again if new mattresses are listed!

Place was as listed. It’s needs a little updating and fixing. A few broken item when we arrived but we enjoyed the house. Sad the fireplace was not working but they advised us ahead of time that they were waiting to have it fixed. Teenagers enjoyed the pool table and was a short drive to App mountain where we skied.

Outstanding customer service from reservations. Very easy key-less entry. House was very spacious and clean. Porches are large and parts are covered. Rockers on the porch make it nice. Plenty of parking. A convenient location to quickly get into Boone and Blowing Rock.

With a last minute house change because of a problem left after a previous tenant, our vacation still turned out awesome. The property manager was so attentive and helpful in securing a new house quickly. The house was conveniently located between blowing rock and boone which made it so easy to get to things. Yet the fire pit and hot tub made it a place to easily hang at home. We loved it

This is the second year that we rented this house in July.
Because of the 3 floors, the house was wonderful for our family (my wife and me, and our 2 adult children with their spouses).
Additionally, the wrap around deck with railings, and which was partially covered, was a great play area for the dog and us.
We hope to return next year.
The only negative aspect of our vacation, and this had nothing to do with the house, was the order of the NC governor requiring mask wearing in public! If this overreaction continues, we will take our vacation in a saner state, perhaps SC, GA, or TN.

We loved every moment of our stay in this clean, comfortable cabin. The layout was spacious, allowing the little kids, the teens, and the adults to spread out into separate areas. At the same time, the living room and the dining table are big enough for everybody to gather when we wanted to. The pool table was a big hit. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings under the starry sky, and we had a bonfire one night, too. We had planned some adventures nearby, but we were so happy and cozy in the cabin that we never left!

We loved every minute of our stay in this clean, spacious cabin. The layout allowed everyone to spread out, giving teenagers, little kids, and adults the space they needed. The sleeping accommodations allow for flexibility to fit whatever needs you have. At the same time, the living room and dining table were big enough to accommodate all 10 of us comfortably when we wanted family time. The pool table was a big hit. We also enjoyed the hot tub at night under the beautiful stars, and we had a bonfire one night. Though we had planned a few local adventures, we were so happy and cozy in this cabin that we never left! Highly recommended.

This house had a lot of room and sleeping space for large families. Kitchen was well stocked and game room was great!

We enjoyed this property immensely. The only negatives were that the porch areas were quite dirty, as if it had never been cleaned for this season. Minor problems included sluggish toilets (requiring two flushes for minimal tissue). Also one gas stove burner was not lighting, causing a great deal of gas entering the room before we were aware of the problem. Overall, it was a fabulous week though. It would have been PERFECT without these small issues.

We had a wonderful long weekend. The house was perfect for our needs. Next time we will Stay longer. There are plenty of beds and the pool table was a huge hit since it rained all weekend. Don’t Hesitate to book if you are heading to Boone. It’s close to everything

Yes, would definitely recommend! Beautiful home and nicely decorated. The hot tub was awesome. Unfortunately, lots of snow on the ground so couldn't enjoy the fire pit but the maintenance people did a great job making sure we had access to deck and driveway by clearing a path. Very nice to have the starter set of amenities as well!

We had a wonderful stay at A Family Tradition. The cabin is very comfortable, clean and well stocked with anything you need. Location is excellent...close to town! Looking forward to staying there again

My family had a great time at this cabin. Our 3- and 1-year old loved running laps around the porch while we cooked or grilled. There was plenty of room for grandparents and my two sisters. We really appreciated the location- nearly equal distance between downtown and out to adventurous hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen is well-appointed, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was very clean. And while the house isn't super fancy, it was the perfect choice for our family: comfortable, clean, and not full of fragile decorations or trinkets that I had to guard from my kiddos!

We are from Sarasota, FL and had to make last minute reservations for one of the Blue Ridge rentals in order to flee hurricane Irma. The entire staff at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals are the friendliest and most helpful people we've dealt with. The "Family Tradition" mountain home we've rented is absolutely beautiful, clean, and very tranquil! Due to the unknowns with the storm, we called the office to extend another day and they had it done immediately. We've agreed that we will be back for vacations.

What a wonderful place to kick back and relax if that's what you wanted to do. In the area, there were so many places to visit and tons of activities to check off our bucket lists. We went Horseback riding in the mountains, kayaking on the New River, hiking many times, biking in the neighborhood, fishing the Watauga River, Trout lake, Bass Lake, and the New River etc., etc., etc. !!!!! We had three generations of family ... (grandparents, children, grandchildren), from around the country ... ( Buffalo / Niagara Falls, NY., Louisville, KY, and Wellington, FL. We all had a blast making memories at A Family Tradition! The cabin was the perfect size for all of us to enjoy our own space, and yet small enough to feel cozy and inviting. We spent the days exploring the area, and the evenings enjoying a throwback vacation with no electronics at all. (Even though there was WiFi in the house, we didn't feel the need to use it very often). It was such a relaxing place to be, and the neighbors were All so nice to us. :-) The cabin had just about everything that we needed for the week. We cooked tons of meals, and enjoyed playing pool, reading on the porch, and using the hot tub. We ALL would love to be able to stay here every year, and truly make this "A Family Tradition"!

We loved the house and the location. It was beautiful and peaceful. It was close to most attractions we were interested in. It was child safe! Our grandchildren are very active( ages 10 months, 3 and 4 YO and a 9 Year old) and were did not have to worry about falling off the porch to a bottomless mountain! We all enjoyed the hot tub on the porch. Thanks.
