Our daughter graduated from App State. We brought together friends and family from 3 different states to share this weekend. The house was a perfect place, not only in terms of the location and layout, but also the overall feel. It felt like a home away from home for us to share this wonderful occasion. The property management company was excellent. I tried to book an additional night early on, and they encouraged me to wait until two weeks out, when the cost would be less expensive, which will have me booking with this company again. That is putting the customer first, and no one does that anymore. Thank you for making a lasting memory for us all.

The view and decks were amazing! We loved the layout of the house with three separate floors, bathrooms for each level and plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was plenty well stocked for cooking - just bring any special/specific things you might need. The lower level rooms were cooler then the main/upper levels but they had plug in radiators that kept the rooms plenty warm.

Bumpy start to the weekend with more snow than predicted toad closure for a short while causing some not able to come until following day and for us having a slip in the ditch. But once all was worked out ended the weekend on a high and many thanks for allowing us to delay our check out to later on Sunday to make sure we we were able to get someone to get our car out.

We had a wonderful time staying here with our kids. The main floor was spacious but cozy, and the downstairs was perfect for the four kids to have their own space. I particularly loved the wood burning fireplace. Convenient to plenty of activities, and a super quiet and relaxing. Neighborhood. It's almost at the end of the street, so there was practically no vehicle traffic except for that which we could see looking down on the road below the property. This was a great find.

Magnificent mountain views!!! Watched fireworks from several towns. Comfortable stay for our family of 9 and small dog when we weren’t out exploring and adventuring. Wildlife abounded. Two small issues (tv, hot tub) were dealt with quickly and congenially by management.

We’ve stayed at this home several times, celebrating family. It is well appointed and has a warm ambience that is welcoming and doesn’t have that ‘sterile’ feel. We were especially grateful for the accessibility as this year we had a family member who is wheelchair dependent. House was awesome and spacious. Lots of games and activities to keep us occupied since our ski plans were canceled due to rain. The drive up the mountain was windy but manageable and the location was only a short drive to shops and attractions. We had a great stay!

Fantastic home in great location. We had 5 teenagers and 2 adults staying and it was absolutely perfect. The teens enjoyed having a space of their own in the basement and one of the adults enjoyed the office on the top floor. Everyone got to do what they wanted and we were able to come together for meals at the spacious dining table. The view is incredible!

I cannot say enough great things about A Big View. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, baking sheets, tons of flatware, and anything else you could ever possibly need! The downstairs(basement) level was awesome and we enjoyed playing shuffle board and spent time in the hot tub. And the house truly lives up to its name, from morning til night, the view is amazing. We were able to see so many constellations at night!! Thank you for a wonderful place to be during our daughter's graduation from App State!!!

3 families with 2 kids a piece were able to stay very comfortably for a long weekend. It's a 20 minute drive to Price lake and less than that to gem mining, winery and trout farms. Also there's a grocery store about 10 minutes away. Can't way to get back there.

The house was perfect for our group of 10! The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked very well. The house was easy to get to and less than 15 minutes from skiing at Sugar Mountain. Also only a 15-20 drive over to Blowing Rock or Boone for good food and shopping! Even with rainy weather one day, we found plenty to do at the house. We will definitely rent through this company again.

Big View is an awesome property. My wife and I travel with our children often and this particular home had everything we would want. The owners and management have gone to great lengths to keep it stocked with almost everything you would need, including baby gates and travel-size toiletries in case you forgot something. everything is labeled and there are several books on site to provide information about the surrounding attractions as well as everything you need to know about the house. The view is truly excellent. there is a ton of space in this home. we were there for two weeks and we had different friends and family come in at different times and we always had more than enough room.

I stayed in ‘A Big View' for our Alumni Weekend in April 2019 with 8 guests (three couples) and our dog. To say that I am impressed is an understatement. The house is over 4,000 feet up and has breathtaking views. The deck is massive, and the house was extremely open. The kitchen was extremely spacious and it allowed for multiple people to use it at once. (This is not the case in all rentals). Additionally, we had three vehicles (one SUV), and there was plenty of parking in the driveway. We have stayed at other rentals, and parking always seems to be an issue. Most often times, other rentals say they have 'ample parking' but the spot only allows for two cars and another car is parking down the street. This is not an issue if you stay at a Big View. The house was spotless upon arrival, and they even had makeup removal wipes in the bathrooms (how thoughtful of the cleaning staff!) I would highly recommend 'A Big View" for any type of gathering. We have plans on making this a permanent rental for our Alumni events!

We rented for the whole month of July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The layout of the house provided ample room for my 3 grandchildren to visit for a trip to Tweetsie. Also having the opportunity to bring my sweet Havanese made this stay complete. Finding a home that had a beautiful, layered mountain view and allowed my dog is priceless! To my delight, I found the home well furnished. In fact, this was more of a "Home Away" type of experience where you felt that you were in someone's home instead of just a rental. The pantry was well stocked and appliances were high-end, even with a waffle maker provided! It's the small touches that come together to make a pleasant stay, such as a make-up mirror, large First-Aid kit, Off Bug Spray and very substantial silverware among others. No cheap stuff here! An issue arose (as with any house) and it was promptly fixed. Thanks to Amy at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals who maintained excellent communication and was most diligent to see that our stay was pleasurable. This proved to be a perfect home-base while we looked for a mountain home of our own. We found one! Yes, this was a most enjoyable stay!

We booked A Big View for our 50th anniversary with our children and grandchildren ages 16 to 4 months. The 3 levels of the very well furnished and equipped home gave every family their own space. The sawdust shuffleboard was a hit, as was the hot tub. The management agency was great to work with. The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do. The level entry from the driveway was great. The house is very private, with no others right next to it.

Big View is an awesome property. My wife and I travel with our children often and this particular home had everything we would want. The owners and management have gone to great lengths to keep it stocked with almost everything you would need, including baby gates and travel-size toiletries in case you forgot something. everything is labeled and there are several books on site to provide information about the surrounding attractions as well as everything you need to know about the house. The view is truly excellent. there is a ton of space in this home. we were there for two weeks and we had different friends and family come in at different times and we always had more than enough room.

Loved the view! House was very clean & organized well! Your cleaning staff does s fantastic job! The location was great . A lot of things to do. Loved that you could walk to Otter Falls.. We had 2 6 yr olds and they loved it. Again everything went smoothly & we had a great family vacation!

The house was perfect for our group of 10! The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked very well. The house was easy to get to and less than 15 minutes from skiing at Sugar Mountain. Also only a 15-20 drive over to Blowing Rock or Boone for good food and shopping! Even with rainy weather one day, we found plenty to do at the house. We will definitely rent through this company again.

I cannot say enough great things about A Big View. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, baking sheets, tons of flatware, and anything else you could ever possibly need! The downstairs(basement) level was awesome and we enjoyed playing shuffle board and spent time in the hot tub. And the house truly lives up to its name, from morning til night, the view is amazing. We were able to see so many constellations at night!! Thank you for a wonderful place to be during our daughter's graduation from App State!!!

I stayed in ‘A Big View’ for our Alumni Weekend in April 2019 with 8 guests (three couples) and our dog. To say that I am impressed is an understatement. The house is over 4,000 feet up and has breathtaking views. The deck is massive, and the house was extremely open. The kitchen was extremely spacious and it allowed for multiple people to use it at once. (This is not the case in all rentals). Additionally, we had three vehicles (one SUV), and there was plenty of parking in the driveway. We have stayed at other rentals, and parking always seems to be an issue. Most often times, other rentals say they have 'ample parking' but the spot only allows for two cars and another car is parking down the street. This is not an issue if you stay at a Big View. The house was spotless upon arrival, and they even had makeup removal wipes in the bathrooms (how thoughtful of the cleaning staff!) I would highly recommend 'A Big View" for any type of gathering. We have plans on making this a permanent rental for our Alumni events!

Great weekend with perfect weather! The house was perfect for the variety of age ranges. The view was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and there was good room for eating. The only suggestion we have to make this home better, is to possibly consider adding mattress toppers to the beds for added comfort (especially the downstairs beds).

We booked A Big View for our 50th anniversary with our children and grandchildren ages 16 to 4 months. The 3 levels of the very well furnished and equipped home gave every family their own space. The sawdust shuffleboard was a hit, as was the hot tub. The management agency was great to work with. The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do. The level entry from the driveway was great. The house is very private, with no others right next to it.

The cabin we perfect for our group of 10. The views are amazing all the way around. The kitchen and bathrooms were very adequately stocked. We took a short drive to Blowing Rock one day and went skiing at Sugar Mountain the other. It was in a perfect location. We would love to rent again in the future!

A Big View was an amazing house for a vacation. The house was stocked with everything one could need and the space allowed for 9 people to fit in it very comfortably (even with 4 teenagers!). The kitchen was perfect and the game room and hot tub were key. Plenty of bathrooms too and the washer/dryer worked beautifully. Very clean. Located well to enjoy many outdoor activities. My only suggestion would be new beds in the Master and the two downstairs bedrooms, but otherwise perfect!

My family had a great week at the Big View. The house was so well stocked and even with three and a half families didn't feel crowded. So much to do in the area, we took full advantage of hiking, tubing, fishing and hanging out!

3 families with 2 kids a piece were able to stay very comfortably for a long weekend. It's a 20 minute drive to Price lake and less than that to gem mining, winery and trout farms. Also there's a grocery store about 10 minutes away. Can't way to get back there.

First off the kitchen has everything you need, except for food of course. The atmosphere of the house is great for big family's and/or good friends. Even if it's bad weather outside, there is plenty of things to enjoy in the house. We will definitely consider renting this house again. If I could give it 6 stars I would

The house was perfect - better than expected. Anything you could possibly need was there. The location is convenient to many things in the area and the owner left a book describing trails in the vicinity, as well as restaurant suggestions. We had a spectacular sunrise, watched the clouds move over Grandfather mountain and had a dusting of snow giving another beautiful view. The grandkids loved all the games in the house (the adults too) and had a ball. Everything was clean and well maintained.
We will definitely go back.
